Volunteering Opportunities

There is no better feeling than giving back to the community. We have many volunteering opportunities within our foundation. Click the links to apply.

What is a Youth Mentor?

A youth mentor is there to let the youth feel seen and heard and help them discover their purpose and self worth. It is the  mentor’s responsibility to keep a safe environment, emotionally and physically, foster different weekly discussions, and guide the youth in a positive group activity.

What does a typical mentoring session look like?

A Youth Mentors meet with the youth groups once per week. Our program lasts 1.5 hours. We begin with a 15-20 minute planned discussion, followed by a group activity, such as hiking, CrossFit Kids, and yoga. If our mentors have a skill they’d like to share we would love to plan an activity around it.

How often can I volunteer?

Consistency is important during youth mentoring. You can volunteer as much as you like, but we ask that you volunteer a minimum of once per month, during the 4 month program.

What are the youth age groups?

A youth mentor can choose which age group they feel most comfortable with; teens (13-17) or preteens (8-12). The group size is a maximum of 8 youth and there will always be a lead Mentor with the group.

What are the dates and times of the program?

Our School hours are as follows:

  • Tuesday 4:00pm-5:30pm (Preteens)
  • Wednesday’s 3:00pm-4:30pm (Teens)

Our goal is for the community to know about the service we provide for youth in Wasatch County. We can use your skills to recruit more youth and more volunteers.
